• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,840–$1,890 per week

Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 (Michigan nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens)
• Orientation: Must be available for the first 8 days (includes 8 hours of non-billable modules)
• Flu Vaccine: Required (medical exemptions accepted with documentation)

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (or willingness to obtain for Michigan healthcare jobs)
• BLS certification (AHA; pending accepted if willing to obtain)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Willingness to float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as required
• Comfortable collaborating with RNs, LPNs, Techs, and other clinical support staff
• Professional references required

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse group of medical and surgical patients, including ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, GI, urology, and more
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed (typically once per week)
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
• Participate in orientation and complete required healthcare modules
• Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Adapt to varying patient ratios (typically 1:4-5, may flex to 1:7 with LPN support)
