Lead Toddler Teacher

We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our Rochester team.

As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you have responsibility for day-to-day classroom activities with the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience for young children utilizing the High Scope curriculum.

Position Details :

Status: Regular, full-time

Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:30am-4:30pm)

Hourly rate- $16-$20/hour ( based on certification or degree plus years of experience in early childhood education )

Location: Onsite, Rochester, MI

Requirements

• CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required -OR- a bachelor’s degree or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or child-related field preferred
• Minimum of one year experience in a toddler classroom is required
• CPR Certification (Heartsaver for K-12 schools), may obtain within 30 days of hire
• Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers

Essential functions:

• Ensures overall safety of children
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
• Implement HighScope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
• Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
• Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
• Attend Heartfelt Impressions company/school meetings
• Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches
• Participate in snack and meal service Family Style Dining
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
• Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
