About This Opportunity

MillerKnoll’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pre-law or law student, ideally interested in supporting a wide range of legal matters, such as intellectual property, compliance, or marketing, to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world legal and compliance projects in a collaborative and innovative environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about legal and compliance, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

What You'll Do

Exemplary projects may include:

  • Assist with legal projects aimed at creating process efficiencies
  • Assist with quality review projects across legal and compliance data platforms
  • Assist with developing index for general legal department website
  • Assist with developing index of legal process education presentations


Other general legal projects may include:

  • Create a survey/overview of regulations or laws pertinent to our business
  • Create process templates for legal-related business processes, like obtaining marketing approvals


What You Bring

The needed skills and experience for this role include...

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Display a genuine interest in law and/or compliance topics


Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in pre-law or a law student pursuing a JD
  • You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program


Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations
