Diesel Truck Technician - Warren
Overview
The Enterprise brand of Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Truck Technician. The Diesel Truck Technician is a skilled position that requires the ability to perform bus and medium duty diesel truck mechanical and warranty repairs, as well as diagnose and troubleshoot drivability problems, according to company policy and procedures. This is a position of routine difficulty requiring the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. This position requires the technician to have a minimum of four ASE Certifications, or equivalent manufacturer training or Michigan state certifications, with a commitment to obtain at least four ASE Certifications within an agreed upon time-frame.
The position is located at our Service Center: 7830 Convention Blvd Warren, MI 48092.
The pay for this position starts at $40 / hour. In addition, you can earn an additional $1 / hour for ASE certifications after the required minimum of 4 (up to 8 total).

Diesel Bus/Truck Technician Benefits:

$3,000 sign-on bonus

$1,000 annual tool allowance

$250 annual boot allowance

ASE Certification testing reimbursement (upon passing)

ASEs beyond the required minimum of 4 will increase hourly rate by an additional $1 / hour (Up to 8 total)

Responsibilities
We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:

Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines.

Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.

Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.

Read and interpret diagnostic test results, often by using dials, gauges, and other computer equipment.

Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.

Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles.
-
Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.

Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.

Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.

Utilize multiple manufacturers' websites, software and diagnostic tools.

May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.

Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training.

Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards.

Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Follow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High School Diploma / G.E.D. required
-
Minimum of two years of mechanical experience working on buses or medium duty trucks.

4+ current and valid ASEs certifications or equivalent manufacturer training or state certifications
-
Hired with equivalent manufacturer training or state certifications must obtain at least 4 ASEs within an agreed upon time-frame
-
Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment.

Must have a current and valid drivers license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record with in the past 3 years.
-
No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 5 years (DUI/DWI).
-
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Subject to a pre-employment drug test and if hired, will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
