Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced clinical care to adult patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions under the supervision of a cardiologist. The NP is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and ongoing management of patients in both clinic and, as applicable, hospital follow-up settings.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history, physical exam, and review of diagnostic data.

· Formulate differential diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising cardiologist.

· Manage chronic cardiac conditions (e.g., hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease) and support post-procedure follow-up.

· Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and relevant lab work in accordance with practice protocols.

· Perform patient education on diagnosis, medications, lifestyle modification, risk factor reduction, and adherence to treatment plans.

· Conduct follow-up visits (in-person and/or telehealth) to monitor response to therapy and adjust plans as needed.

· Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other members of the care team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.

· Document all encounters and care plans accurately and timely in EPIC.

· Participate in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and practice meetings as requested.

Qualifications

· Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license and Nurse Practitioner license in the state of MI.

· Certification as an NP (e.g., ANCC or AANP); ACNP or FNP with relevant cardiology experience preferred.

· Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

· Prior cardiology or acute care experience preferred, but strong new graduates with relevant clinical rotations may be considered.

· Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain within specified timeframe).

· Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $66.00 per hour
