Job Summary:
The Logistics Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the scheduling, routing,
and tracking of shipments and drivers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
This role serves as the main point of contact between drivers, customers, and
internal departments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and
able to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Uphold and promote our Safety First culture at all times.
• Schedule and dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries based on customer needs, driver availability, and company guidelines.
• Ensure pickup and delivery requests are dispatched promptly and professionally to drivers and vendors.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of PODs and all related pickup/delivery timestamps.
• Monitor the status of shipments and provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain communication with drivers throughout the day to ensure on-time performance and resolve any issues that arise.
• Update dispatch logs, transportation management systems (TMS), and customer records with accurate information.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure readiness of loads and proper documentation.
• Handle emergencies or unexpected situations such as delays, equipment issues, or route changes.
• Verify driver hours, route completion, and compliance with DOT and company safety regulations.
• Assist in route planning to optimize fuel efficiency, time, and resource allocation.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding delivery schedules and service expectations.
• Prepare and maintain dispatch-related reports and records.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or related field is a plus).
• Previous experience as a dispatcher in transportation, logistics, or freight industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of routing, scheduling, and logistics coordination.
• Strong negotiation, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Results-driven with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and driver compliance requirements is a plus
