Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design new products, components, and assemblies for manufacturing.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Conduct design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate concepts and ensure functionality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth implementation.
• Identify and implement design improvements for existing products to enhance performance, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide engineering support during production.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, CATIA).
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, welding).
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of material science and selection for manufacturing applications.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced GD&T application and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Familiarity with CAM software or CNC programming principles.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation for CAD software (e.g., Python, VBA).
• Experience with specific advanced manufacturing processes (e.g., Additive Manufacturing, Composites, Robotics).
