Join Our Dynamic Team at Cardiology and Vascular Associates (CAVA)!
Are you someone who excels in an organized, people-focused environment? If so, we want you to bring your skills to Cardiology and Vascular Associates (CAVA) – one of Michigan’s leading cardiology practices.
Founded in 2000, CAVA is proud to offer top-tier cardiovascular care through a team of 11 board-certified cardiologists and 8 mid-level providers, serving patients across 5 office locations and multiple area hospitals. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated, customer-service-oriented Medical Receptionist to become a part of our mission of providing exceptional patient care.
The Role: As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers. Your core responsibilities will include managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, and handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations. You will be a vital part of creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient environment for both patients and staff.
In this role, you’ll interact directly with patients, physicians, and staff members while managing the front office duties in a fast-paced clinical setting. Your attention to detail and exceptional communication skills will help provide excellent customer service and contribute to a seamless healthcare experience for all patients.
While your primary duties will focus on managing the front desk and supporting office functions, you will also be part of a dynamic healthcare team that values collaboration and high-quality patient care. Flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude are essential!
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule patient appointments, ensuring accurate data entry and optimal appointment flow.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments.
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy in demographic and insurance data.
- Perform general clerical duties such as faxing, scanning, and filing documents as needed.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth office operations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable with office equipment (phones, fax, computers) and EHR systems.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and stay organized in a busy office environment.
- Team Player: Able to work collaboratively in a team-focused setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Adaptability: Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks and adapt to changing needs within the office.
Why CAVA? At Cardiology and Vascular Associates, we’re more than just a workplace — we’re a close-knit team committed to delivering outstanding patient care. By joining us, you’ll become part of an innovative practice where your contributions make a real impact. We offer a dynamic, supportive environment where personal growth and professional development are encouraged.
