Conduct Resolution Facilitator - Dean of Students Office

R104528 This position supports student conduct and conflict resolution processes within the Dean of Students Office. This entry-level position works directly with students to assist in resolving alleged violations of the Student Code, The Anchor of Student Rights & Responsibilities ("The Anchor"), through educational, restorative, and developmental approaches. The role supports case management, facilitates informal resolution processes, and assists with the administration of student conduct cases under the guidance of senior staff. This is a 0.8 FTE position. The Conduct Resolution Facilitator will work a standard 40-hour/week schedule during the Fall and Winter semesters and reduce to a 6.25 hours/week schedule during the months of June and July. Salary & Benefits: $40,240 - $44,240, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, generous employer retirement contributions, wellness resources and tuition waiver effective on date of hire. Primary Duties:
- Under the direction of leadership, assist with the investigation and resolution of alleged student, organization, and hazing misconduct in accordance with The Anchor and university policies.
- Facilitate student conduct and conflict resolution services including but not limited to administrative conferences, student conduct hearings, informal student conduct resolutions, and conflict coaching.
- Maintain university processes and regularly updates case notes within the conduct software system (Maxient).
- Comply with university policies and practices, as well as federal, state, local laws as they pertain to The Anchor.
- Attend staff meetings, one-on-one meetings, and case management meetings as scheduled.
- Support the coordination and facilitation of conduct hearings and assist with training and supporting members of the University Conduct Pool.
- Assist in educating campus stakeholders on university conduct policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the creation, coordination, and facilitation of educational and restorative practices, programs, workshops, and materials.
- Demonstrate commitment to working with traditionally underserved or marginalized populations and collaborate with faculty and staff to provide multi-tiered support for students.
- Serve on divisional wide committees as needed.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in student affairs, criminal justice, social sciences, or a related field.
- One (1) year of relevant experience in student conduct, conflict resolution, student support, higher education, or a related setting (graduate assistantships, internships, or practicum experiences may be considered).
- Basic understanding of student affairs, student conduct, and restorative practices.
- Working knowledge of Title IX, FERPA, and other regulations associated with the position.
- Able to effectively listen and communicate, both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to details.
- Able to manage multiple projects and tasks while working independently.
- Able to work with campus stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Master's degree (completed or in progress) in student affairs, higher education, criminal justice, or a related field.
- Experience working with Maxient Database System.
- Experience working in the areas of crisis management, behavior intervention, and community standards in higher education environment.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with campus wide stake holders.
