Litigation Support Specialist

Role&Responsibility

- Prepare & draft official letters regarding contractual matters to contractors and benders with reference to contract terms or cases

- Draft Risk Reports, evaluate risks in the terms and conditions construction contracts for risk analysis; AIA contracts and purchasing orders.

- Develop strategies to prevent litigation and resolve disputes through negotiation and mediation.

- Assist in the preparation and management of litigation and arbitration cases.

- Coordinate with law firms and legal teams to ensure smooth communication and document flow

- Provide legal research and support in drafting legal documents.

- Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all case-related materials

- Facilitate communication between different departments and external legal counsel.

Qualification

- Experience in legal support or paralegal work, especially in litigation or arbitration.

- Bachelor’s degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field

- Strong understanding of construction laws, contract terms, and cost management principles.

- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

- Very strong verbal & written communication skills, especially in a contentious environment

- Comfortable working in a multinational highly diverse multi-lingual environment

- At least 5 ~ 10 years of experience with construction contracts or/and law firm

- Ability to manage many competing tasks and to quickly triage by priority with minimal external input

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Key Notes/Requirements

Preferred Qualification:

- Paralegal Certification or Litigation Specialist Certificate or equivalent

- Certified Litigation Support Professional (CLSP) designation.

- Experience working with international clients or in a multicultural environment.

- Familiarity with U.S. litigation procedures and terminology.

- Membership in professional legal associations.

- Experience as a Project Manager in construction projects, either with a main contractor or subcontractor
