The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sche schematics, and welding symbols to determine appropriate welding processes.
• Operate various welding equipment (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to join metal components according to specifications.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components, ensuring precise measurements and alignment.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to specifications, identifying and correcting defects.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Position and secure parts for welding, utilizing clamps, fixtures, and other tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes.
• AWS certification (e.g., D1.1) or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial welding environment.
• Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and quality control.

Bonus Qualifications

• AWS D1.1 certification or similar advanced structural welding qualification
• Experience with robotic welding or automated welding systems
• Proficiency in TIG welding for specialized materials (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum)
• Strong fitting and fabrication skills
• Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods or quality inspection standards
