Director of Data Platform & Analytics

KODE Labs is seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Data Analytics to spearhead the evolution of our data strategy and lead our ongoing data‑driven transformation. As we scale globally and enhance our KODE OS platform, maturing our world‑class, unified data ecosystem is critical to our continued success, product innovation, and client value. This senior leadership role is fundamental to further leveraging data as a strategic asset across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Evolve KODE OS Data Strategy: Refine and drive the data strategy for KODE OS, focusing on optimizing robust ingestion from 175+ sources, advancing transformation capabilities, and enriching insightful analytics.
• Enhance API Integration Standards: Oversee and improve clear standards, robust documentation, and best practices for all API integrations, ensuring sustained data quality and efficiency for KODE OS.
• Mature Data Transformation Governance: Oversee and enhance standardized data transformation methodologies and KPI calculations within Building Data Hub for key real estate domains.
• Lead KODE OS Data Catalog & Governance: Oversee and mature the comprehensive data governance framework and guide the KODE OS data catalog strategy, ensuring data integrity, security, and adherence to relevant industry best practices.
• Expand Internal Analytics Library: Lead the enhancement and expansion of a rich, standardized analytics catalog internally, delivering actionable insights tailored to diverse user personas and client segments (retail, commercial, federal).
• Lead & Mentor Data Teams: Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performing teams dedicated to data engineering, governance, transformation, and BI/analytics for KODE OS, fostering their continued growth.
• Cultivate Data‑Driven Practices: Continue to promote data literacy and champion the advanced adoption of data‑driven decision‑making across all KODE Labs functions.
• Drive Cross‑Functional Data Initiatives: Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to further embed and align data strategy within the KODE OS roadmap and client solutions.

Requirements

• Strategic Data Leadership: 5+ years in data leadership roles, with proven experience evolving and scaling data functions and teams in a production environment; experience in technology or platform companies preferred.
• Expertise in Data Governance & Compliance Adherence: Deep, hands‑on experience maturing data governance for complex data (ideally IoT/building systems) and ensuring adherence to relevant compliance frameworks; strong understanding of data security and privacy principles.
• Cloud Data Architecture Proficiency: Strong understanding of modern data architectures, particularly data warehousing, and familiarity with cloud platforms and ETL/ELT processes.
• Mastery of Large‑Scale API Integration & Unified Modeling: Demonstrable experience managing and optimizing large‑scale API integrations and evolving unified data models.
• Analytics Platform Experience: Hands‑on experience with various analytics platforms, including integration, optimization, and delivering actionable insights.
• Advanced Analytics & BI Product Enhancement: Proven ability to enhance and expand valuable client‑facing analytics and BI products; experience maturing analytics libraries.
• Exceptional Team Builder & Mentor: Track record of successfully building, mentoring, and leading high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary data teams in a fast‑paced environment.
