Automotive Diagnostic Technician Gas & Diesel (A or B+ Level)

Location: Rudyard, MI
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
Pay Range: $30–$40/hr (Depending on Experience)
Expected Hours: 40–50 billed hours/week
Pay Schedule: Weekly

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced Diagnostics Automotive Technician (A or B Level) with Diesel Experience for a top-rated independent shop in Rudyard, MI . This is a full-time, Monday–Thursday role with a 3-day weekend every week , strong pay, and a supportive, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair light-duty diesel trucks and gas vehicles across domestic, Asian, and light European makes

• Perform brake, suspension, driveline, and drivetrain repairs

• Lead diagnostic efforts and assist other technicians as needed

• Utilize Tekmetric DVI and scan tools for accurate repair documentation

• Maintain a clean, professional, and organized work area

• Communicate clearly with the team to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction

• Stay current with training and certification requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a diesel or automotive technician

• State of Michigan automotive certification – REQUIRED

• Diesel repair license REQUIRED

• ASE certifications Required (If you have certifications, the pay rate will reflect with a higher hourly wage)

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Team-oriented, calm under pressure, and self-motivated

• Valid driver's license with clean record

• Willingness to provide professional references
