Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of machinists in daily operations.
• Set up, program, and operate advanced CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure adherence to precise quality standards and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Develop and implement efficient machining processes to optimize production.
• Coordinate work schedules and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to junior machinists.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Machinist, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Expertise in operating and programming CNC and manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Proficient in interpreting complex blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Strong understanding of tooling selection, fixturing, material properties, and precision measurement techniques.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and lead a team of machinists, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for complex geometries or multi-axis machining.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing designs or creating simple fixtures.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior machinists or apprentices.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with CMM operation or other advanced metrology equipment.
