Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly with overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
• 13-week contract length
• Patient ratios: Day shift 1:4-1:5, Night shift 1:6 average
• Float to ER and ICU as needed to assist
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Can be placed on call for low census with 2-hour minimum call back
• Required certifications: Current Michigan RN license, AHA BLS, and ACLS
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience required with ICU and ER experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Provide general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with CHF, COPD, and diabetic conditions
• Any colored scrubs allowed
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Mask required during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccination per facility policy
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours

This healthcare facility operates a 25-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care services. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and maintains modern standards for patient care. The organization serves a diverse patient population with emphasis on geriatric care and chronic condition management, offering opportunities for nurses to develop skills across multiple departments including emergency and critical care through float assignments.
