Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for mothers and newborns using critical thinking and the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Manage, direct, and supervise the nursing patient care team typically including CNAs, LPNs, and other support staff.
- Collaborate with the care team and other disciplines to deliver safe, individualized care for laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients.
- Document patient care, conditions, reactions to treatment, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor newborn status and postpartum moms, including care related to delivery and the immediate postpartum period; adjust plans as needed based on patient progress.

Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- 2 years of Birthing Center experience (laboring patients, delivery with newborn care, and postpartum care) – REQUIRED
- NRP preferred; willingness to obtain if not currently certified
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Ability to work the stated night shift in a hospital setting
