An established retail pharmacy located on the Bronson Methodist campus is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their busy operation handling 600 to 700 prescriptions daily. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, ideal for professionals seeking consistent weekday hours in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and accurately fill prescriptions according to state and federal laws.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and efficient workflow.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer questions to promote adherence and wellbeing.
- Maintain documentation and manage controlled substances in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Pharmacist license.
- Michigan Controlled Substance license.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
