Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of tools and equipment.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and related equipment, implementing and enforcing strict control procedures.
• Schedule and supervise the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate tool room personnel, fostering a skilled and motivated team.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the tool room to ensure a secure working environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production departments to understand tooling needs, resolve issues, and recommend improvements.
• Manage the procurement of new tools, materials, and supplies, adhering to budget constraints and quality standards.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for critical tooling to minimize downtime and production disruptions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and management.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control systems.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
