Biomed Behavioral Health Services is a leader in providing professional, competent and compassionate services to help chemically dependent individuals with co-occurring disorders related to behavioral health attain and maintain their highest possible functioning capacity. Started in 1999, the vision of the program is to provide innovative and comprehensive services that promote maximum patient rehabilitation resulting in them once again becoming productive members of the community. Biomed is a privately held company with a current workforce of over 60 people operating in two locations with continued plans to grow.

The essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
As a Peer Recovery Coach, you will play a key role in leading the nursing services and culture of the department. You will be responsible for guiding and developing your team and providing exceptional Peer services in a person-centered environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
● Project the ethical values, mission and vision of Biomed by providing peer recovery techniques in the form of case management to the patient population.
● Actively participate on the treatment team with client, clinical and medical staff to develop the appropriate patient treatment plan.
● Working with patients, develop comprehensive treatment goals and objectives. Provide a total systems approach to treatment by encouraging participation of patient’s family, employer and other stakeholders.
● Provide case management to patients on an individual basis as well as a group setting. These services will include but are not limited to emotional, informational, instrumental, and affiliation support.
● Provide crisis intervention and monitor ongoing patient compliance with program expectations.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, EMR or related software.
Job Requirements:
● High School Diploma or equivalent.
● Certified Peer Recovery Mentor (CPRM) through Michigan Certified Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP).
● Current CPR certification.
● Minimum of five years of experience is preferred.
● Are actively working in a recovery program (12-step, church/spiritual, or other qualified recovery program).
● Participate in ongoing internal and external training to maintain proficiency in current trends relative to providing quality to persons served.
● Complete required training courses of Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery, Personal Safety, Confidentiality, Relapse Prevention, Cultural Competency, Recipient Rights, and Communicable Disease/ HIV Level1.
● Have a valid Michigan Driver License and must submit proof of active automobile insurance to show at minimum liability.
● Assist client’s transition through continuum of care.
● Meet with immediate supervisor for individual supervision weekly to discuss cases in which they provide coaching for.
● Enter progress notes into SMART regarding the patient's progress and assistance they are offering the patients.

● Business hours Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
● Compensation commensurate with credentials, skills and experience
