Facilities Manager | Battle Creek, MI

Salary Range: $87,000 - $133,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of building and infrastructure maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for facility assets and critical manufacturing equipment.
• Manage facility budgets, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and vendor contracts.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental (HSE) regulations and industry standards.
• Lead and manage facility-related projects, such as expansions, renovations, and new equipment installations.
• Coordinate and manage third-party contractors and service providers for facility services.
• Develop and manage emergency preparedness and business continuity plans for the manufacturing site.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
• Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and facility budgeting.
• In-depth understanding of safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and environmental compliance relevant to industrial operations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and BMS (Building Management Systems).
• Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven track record in energy management and sustainability initiatives.
• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or cleanroom environments.
