Job Details:

• Provide nursing care for patients before, during, and after angiography, interventional, and angiographic cardiac catheterization procedures
• Perform pre-procedure assessments, pre-medication administration, and post-catheterization care
• Scrub in for procedures and assist other cardiac catheterization laboratory team members
• Assist with stress echocardiograms, routine treadmill exams, nuclear and pharmacologic stress testing
• Support tilt table procedures, echocardiograms, cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Operate cardiac output equipment, hemodynamic monitors, pacemakers/ICDs, and intraaortic balloon pumps
• Manage crash carts, IV pumps, defibrillators, and point of care testing equipment
• Insert PICC lines and function as vascular access expert
• Apply Holter monitors, event monitors, ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and perform pacemaker interrogations
• Provide sedation monitoring and appropriate documentation according to hospital policy
• Work 10 days of call per month including IR/Vascular and STEMI coverage
• Weekend coverage for call only
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required
• Cath Lab RN experience required
• 1+ years Electrophysiology experience required
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• Travel work experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
