What Your Role Entails

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, initiating diagnostic evaluations, and developing personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (as credentialing permits)
• Educating patients and families regarding health promotion, illness prevention, and disease management strategies
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within the scope of practice

• Maintaining accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Matters

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successfully completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner education program

Certification Essentials

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Michigan
