Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Picker and Packer to join our team, responsible for handling and processing goods in our warehouse efficiently and accurately. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of orders.
Responsibilities- Receive orders from the Warehouse Manager and retrieve, pick, and pack goods from the warehouse.
- Check packing lists for accuracy and inspect collected goods.
- Deliver materials to routing areas for packing and update computer ordering system.
- Use an order-picker system or sheet to pull orders as needed.
- Follow safety rules for the warehouse when picking orders.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks at the warehouse.
- Move stock in a manner that prevents breakage and product loss.
- Ensure strict delivery deadlines are met.
- Uphold all company policies and practices.
- Perform and complete other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Packing and picking experience.
- General labor skills.
- Shipping and receiving expertise.
- Proficiency in using pallet jacks.
- Inventory management skills.
- Experience in loading and unloading trucks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or Warehouse Associate.
- Ability to read a pick slip, assess material locations, and package items for shipment.
- Capacity to lift 50-75 lbs daily and assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks.
- Comfortable standing for 10 hours a day without sitting.
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- Ability to operate various types of material-handling equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and pallet wraps.

Work EnvironmentOur warehouse operates from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a hard start at 8:30 AM. The working conditions require continuous standing and walking, pushing and pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You will frequently balance on uneven surfaces, communicate with store employees, co-workers, and vendors, and utilize various types of material-handling equipment. The role demands physical activity including bending, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and reaching overhead.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Livonia, Michigan.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
