Precision Grinding Technician
Overview of Role
Step into the world of precision engineering as a Precision Grinding Technician, where you'll harness the power of Blanchard Grinders ranging from 48” to 100”. This full-time role calls for expertly setting up and maneuvering grinders to achieve precise flat surfaces within specified tolerances, utilizing tools like calipers and micrometers. Our dynamic team operates in both day and night 12-hour shifts.
Core Responsibilities
Key tasks you may perform include:
- Efficiently managing overhead or jib cranes
- Masterfully setting up and adjusting a rotary wheel Blanchard grinder
- Strategizing optimal operating practices for rotary wheel machines
- Making precise machine adjustments to meet tolerance and finish standards
- Using scales, micrometers, and indicators for setups, adjustments, and verifications
- Interpreting part drawings and specifications accurately
- Implementing magnetic tables and clamps for workpiece stabilization
- Utilizing statistical tools for process consistency and quality assurance
- Conducting daily inspections of workspace and machine fluid levels
