Step into Secondary Operations

Picture this: it’s 7:00 a.m. at our Farmington Hills, MI facility. You walk the floor, run through your pre-shift checks, and bring production cells online. You fine-tune machine settings, assist with operation as demand fluctuates, and keep an expert eye on quality so every part meets spec. When something drifts, you troubleshoot, adjust, and document—then coach teammates on what changed and why.

What you’ll do in this role

• Set up & maintain equipment: Prepare, adjust, and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep machinery running efficiently.
• Operate as needed: Jump in to run machinery within the department to meet production goals.
• Inspect rigorously: Check incoming materials, in-process work, finished parts, and equipment to ensure standards are met.
• Elevate processes: Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements that boost throughput and reduce waste.
• Watch the numbers: Help ensure departmental output meets organizational targets.
• Guide the team: Interpret procedures, share best practices, and support efficiency gains across operations.
• Document accurately: Complete all required records fully and correctly.
• Own 5S: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Work safely & compliantly: Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
• Adapt: Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Schedule & location

• Shift: 1st, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Work Location: Onsite — Farmington Hills, MI 48335

What you bring

• Independence: Comfortable working under minimal supervision; you take initiative.
• Problem-solving: Tackle complex issues and escalate only the most challenging items.
• Technical know‑how: Solid working knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance.
• Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment, including driving powered industrial equipment.
• Leadership: Ability to coach, mentor, and support a team.
• Nice to have: Powered industrial equipment certification.
