What You'll Do:

You will leverage your management and planning expertise to provide enriching experiences for residents and ensure programs are well-organized and successful. You will bring your own creative vision to this role and have the opportunity to expand and enhance sport initiatives within the community.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Supervising and expanding adult and youth sport programs and leagues, including but not limited to racket sports, flag football and lacrosse, volleyball and basketball leagues
• Coordinating with multiple facilities to offer programs and with parks maintenance regarding field use and improvements.
• Evaluate offerings for community interest and financial stability.
• Collaborating with contractors to develop new programs while also maintaining existing programs.
• Maintain a budget and track expenses for all programs and projects.
• Participate in department-wide strategic planning and CAPRA accreditation to support our continued excellence.
• Participate in planning, renovation and development of new and existing facilities.

Who We're Looking For:

An ideal candidate will:

• Be highly organized and possess excellent time-management skills, thriving in an office-based role but also enjoy hands-on work with the community.
• Be passionate about the importance and impact of sports for all ages, while managing key programs with contractors and community groups.
• Have experience in leadership or supervisory roles, ideally within parks and recreation or sports management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Parks and Recreation Management or a related field
• A minimum of Three (3) years' experience in programming and managing recreation programs and events
• Professional certification is desired.

Salary: $64,200 - $75,500, depending on your qualifications.
