Sales Support Specialist | RCC Business IT

This role works hand-in-hand with our Technical Sales and Account Managers to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified prospects, timely follow-ups, and seamless customer engagement while also supporting active client accounts to keep communication smooth between sales, clients, and our production team.

Role Overview

As a Sales Support Specialist, youll be the first point of contact for many prospects while also helping ensure that current client requests and communications dont get lost in the shuffle. You will research target markets, make outreach calls and emails, qualify leads, schedule appointments, and support sales reps with quotes, proposals, and CRM management. Additionally, youll follow up on client asks, coordinate with the production team, and help Account Managers deliver a smooth experience for existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify new prospects that fit RCCs "Perfect Prospect" profile.
• Conduct outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to engage decision makers.
• Qualify prospects and schedule appointments for the Technical Sales Rep and Account Manager.
• Manage and update CRM records to ensure data accuracy.
• Assist with preparing proposals, quotes, and follow-up communications.
• Support renewal and upsell campaigns with timely client outreach.
• Track activity metrics and report on progress toward team sales goals.
• Assist Account Managers with client follow-ups, open asks, and next steps.
• Coordinate with the production/technical team to ensure client requests are addressed and updates flow back to sales.
• Document and track client interactions to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

What You Bring

• 1+ year of sales, lead generation, customer support, or business development experience.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging business decision makers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, Microsoft 365, and sales enablement tools.
• Self-motivated with a team-first mindset.

Bonus Points For

• IT services or MSP/MSSP industry experience.
• Knowledge of business technology basics (cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure).
• Prior experience supporting both prospecting activities and account management teams.
