Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using various metrology equipment.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of measurement and test equipment.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated inspection systems.
• Document inspection results, generate detailed reports, and maintain accurate calibration records.
• Analyze measurement data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for process improvement.
• Adhere strictly to quality standards, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies, including Gage R&R, to validate measurement processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision measurement equipment.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated expertise with a wide range of manual measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
• Experience with metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) and data analysis tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Metrology Inspector (CMI) certification
• Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma principles to improve measurement processes
• Familiarity with 3D scanning technologies and associated software (e.g., PolyWorks, Geomagic)
