Registered Nurse (RN) CNA Instructor

This position is for a current Registered Nurse (RN) who has previous experience working specifically in fertility and IVF. This position has a set Monday-Friday schedule and weekly pay. Position begins end of July!

• Schedule: Rotating weeks; week 1: M-W 8a-430p, week 2: T-W 8a-430p, th-F 7a-230p
• Cannot be mandated to stay past your shift

Job Duties:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate the CNA training curriculum in accordance with state-approved guidelines and facility policies.
• Provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction to CNA students in a long-term care setting.
• Supervise and assess student performance, ensuring competency in nursing assistant skills and patient care standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment.
• Coordinate clinical site schedules and ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and resident rights standards.
• Provide direct supervision of students during resident care activities, modeling best practices in communication and caregiving.
• Ensure compliance with all state regulatory and accreditation requirements for CNA training programs.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Staff Development team to identify and address training needs within the facility.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain clinical and instructional competence.
• Assist with orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards at all times.

A few must-haves for RNs:

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active RN license in Michigan
• 3 years experience as an RN (at least 1 of those years in Long Term Care)
• CPR certification
• Preferred Instructor certification or Train-the-Trainer qualification in MI
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate
