Location: Detroit, MI
Schedule :
(2) Day & (1) Night Shift– 3 Positions Available
- Hours: 6:30am – 7pm or 6:30p-7a
- Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and holiday
Pay Rate: $48/hour
Overview
The Respiratory Therapist provides life-support, resuscitation, and various medical gas therapies to patients across Adult ICU and Neonatal ICU. This role includes performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures, maintaining clinical expertise across assigned units, and ensuring all patient care is accurately documented.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver life-support, monitoring, and respiratory treatments per physician orders.
- Perform both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures.
- Provide care to patients in the ICU.
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care and complete billing information.
- Supervise and guide respiratory therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist License
- Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
- Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor’s Degree required
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care
- Experience in a Trauma Level II facility
