Director of Accounting

StaffBright is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Director of Accounting on behalf of our client. This critical leadership role will oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations, including financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading accounting teams, and the ability to drive process improvements that support both operational excellence and long-term business growth.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Oversee and actively participate in daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements while maintaining robust internal controls
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead initiatives to enhance financial reporting processes, streamline operations, and drive continuous improvement

What We Need From You:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Background in public accounting with a reputable firm (Big 4 or large regional preferred), specifically in Audit/Assurance
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards, with strong technical accounting expertise
• Proven ability to prepare financial statements, perform variance analysis, and lead audits—must be hands-on and execution-oriented
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and advanced Excel capabilities
