Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and compliance with company standards.
• Oversee the timely procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO items to support production schedules.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the supply chain.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive purchasing and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong command of ERP/MRP systems and purchasing software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities for cost reduction, market analysis, and performance metrics.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience in process improvement methodologies
• Experience with international sourcing, logistics, and customs compliance
• Proficiency in advanced data analytics or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance tracking
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or demonstrated experience managing complex procurement projects
• Specific industry experience (e.g., automotive, aerospace, electronics) relevant to the company's manufacturing sector
