Position Summary
The Cook supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in preparing and executing a refined Latin American inspired menu. This role focuses on consistent food preparation, proper station management, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness. The Cook plays an essential role in delivering exceptional dishes that reflect the restaurants commitment to premium dining and authentic flavors.
What Youll Do
Culinary Execution
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and plating standards.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control.
- Assist with daily food preparation and mise en place for service.
- Ensure all To-Go orders are accurate, properly packaged, and ready on time.
- Work efficiently during service while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Kitchen Operations & Organization
- Follow daily prep lists assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station throughout service.
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and proper storage of food items.
- Ensure ingredients are rotated and stored correctly to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
- Support overall kitchen organization and cleanliness before, during, and after service.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with local and state health regulations.
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures.
- Assist in cleaning schedules and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused kitchen environment.
What Were Looking For
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of kitchen or cooking experience working in upscale dining.
- Passion for food and willingness to learn Latin American cuisine.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Spanish/English bilingual is a plus.
