The Medical Billing Office Manager leads a team of 11-20 employees to ensure accurate and efficient medical billing operations. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role involves overseeing claims management, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimizing billing processes using various electronic health record (EHR) integrated and cloud-based billing systems. The manager also acts as a liaison with vendors and coordinates audits while supporting team development and delivering top-quality customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee medical billing functions and ensure accurate claims processing
- Supervise and mentor a billing team of 11-20 employees
- Manage claims submissions and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor compliance with medical billing regulations and standards
- Generate detailed billing and operational reports for leadership
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve billing inquiries
- Coordinate training and professional development initiatives
- Lead audit preparation and collaborate with auditors
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Serve as a vendor liaison for billing software and services
- Maintain accurate billing data and system integrity
- Travel occasionally to client sites and regularly within the region
- Working with a Global Team
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in medical billing and management
