The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Portage that are seeking skilled Recruiters. Key Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and recruit qualified candidates for diverse manufacturing roles, including production, engineering, and skilled trades.
• Partner with manufacturing hiring managers to define job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.
• Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate skills, experience, and cultural fit for manufacturing environments.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial requisition to offer negotiation and pre-onboarding.
• Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for current and future manufacturing staffing needs.
• Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to streamline processes and track metrics.
• Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant employment laws and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a significant portion in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to source, screen, and recruit for a diverse range of manufacturing roles (e.g., production, engineering, skilled trades, management).
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and various sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards).
• Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills, focused on identifying technical aptitude and cultural fit within manufacturing operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to build rapport with candidates and collaborate with hiring managers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of requisitions and adapt to the fast-paced demands of a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience recruiting for specific manufacturing sectors (e.g., automotive, aerospace, food & beverage).
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering disciplines, or skilled trades.
• Familiarity with unionized workforces and collective bargaining agreements.
• Prior experience working within a manufacturing plant or production environment.
• Awareness of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
