About this Opportunity:

The Panel Builder II is responsible for laying out and building electrical panels to meet customer needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their primary duties.

• Use of cranes, rigging, and/or forklift
• Review electrical prints to identify layout or issues
• Audit work instructions looking for any special requirement
• Compare kitted parts to bill of material (BOM) for any discrepancy and report to lead
• Build Prep

× cut Tag track

× procure mounting hardware

• Assembly of electrical plates and enclosures from build prep per documentation
• Assemble electrical components, controllers etc. per documentation
• Wire required components utilizing color/gauge, ferrules, cables, tags, and required identification according to print
• Field work at customer site; install and service
• Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers
• Follow quality standards, comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Keep a clean, and safe working environment; optimize space utilization
• Other duties as assigned

Location:

Evolution Motion Solutions is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Auburn Hills, MI facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required for this role.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical or vocational is a plus

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a related field

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Precise attention to detail
• Able to operate and use power tools
• Some knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawings
• Basic understanding of measurement equipment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Typically, the employee will stand or sit to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting items such as small products or parts. Position also requires long periods of sitting while driving or riding as a passenger in an automobile to customer sites.

WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general production floor environment, including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and related machinery, etc. Work outside normal business hours may be required.
