This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan repayment initiative. Eligibility requirements must be met per VHA policy, and applications are due within four months of appointment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervising regional physicians and advanced practice providers
• Providing clinical input and consultation on treatment plans
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Reporting quality issues and maintaining comprehensive medical records
• Leading complex patient management, with travel up to 25% to other CBOCs

Additional Duties:

• Ensuring effective communication with leadership and healthcare teams
• Mentoring and training new providers
• Participating in recruitment and orientation of new staff

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Minimum Requirements:

• US citizenship and proficiency in English
• Full, unrestricted medical license
• Completion of approved residency training leading to board eligibility
• Meeting specific educational and licensure criteria as outlined

Preferred Qualifications:

Board certification is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Position involves physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Education:

MD or equivalent from an accredited medical school, with verification for foreign graduates as necessary.
