HVAC Service Tech

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to provide exceptional service to mainly residential customers in and around Oakland County. Occasionally, there will be light commercial service work up to 25 tons. The technician will receive their own service van and iPad to assist with their daily tasks. Typically, the role involves handling 4-5 service calls per day, which includes diagnosing and fixing AC units, furnaces, ducts, or thermostats. The technician will discuss issues with customers, present solutions, educate them on repairs, and manage payments upon completion of services. This role requires working both inside and outside customer homes, adhering to all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC service work primarily for residential customers.
• Occasionally handle light commercial service work.
• Use a service van and iPad to manage daily tasks and service calls.
• Handle 4-5 service calls per day, diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding issues and solutions.
• Educate customers on repairs and manage payment processes.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed while working inside and outside customer premises.

• At least 2 years of experience in residential HVAC service work.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing AC units and furnaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver heavier items with assistance.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• EPA Certification.
• Excellent customer service skills, including communication and problem-solving.

• Experience with HVAC equipment, repair, and installation.
• Knowledge of electrical systems related to HVAC.
• Familiarity with rooftop units (RTUs) and mini-split systems.

Work Environment

This role involves working in both commercial and residential settings, with 50-60% of the work being residential, 30% new construction, and 10-20% commercial. The technician will drive between sites using a company vehicle, working both indoors and outdoors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
