job purpose :


This position is responsible for assisting the coordination of resources in the Aseptic or ESL Production area; to include kitting, batching, VTIS, blow molding, filling, sleeving, and case packing of product.

responsibilities:

  • Support the Operations Supervisor in the safe and high-quality execution of all tasks and duties throughout the facility based on predetermined expectations created by management.
  • Review equipment status and performance with Operations Supervisor to ensure facility is in position to execute the published production schedule.
  • Assist in the planning of cross functional work such as maintenance, quality, or project work.
  • Coordinate CIP skid usage with other areas to ensure that skid conflicts do not occur
  • Support the timely and successful execution of system and equipment changeovers and CIPs.
  • Coordinate and ensure that Sanitation responsibilities in the Packaging areas, Batching areas, and VTIS areas are maintained throughout their shifts. Maintain a state of "Audit-Readiness" with the physical condition of the area, as well as documentation
  • Support Plant Leadership in identifying operator training based on line performance.
  • Participate in post-CIP/pre-Op equipment inspections to verify for effectiveness.
  • Take inventory of consumables supplies daily ensuring that we have sufficient quantities. Communicate shortages to Operations Supervisor
  • Accurately track and report line/system performance data
  • Advocate for optimal performance and work directly with Operations leadership in the pursuit of continuous improvement.
  • Follow all safety and working rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

skills/qualifications required:

  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems and be persistent until an acceptable solution is found.

  • Must be able to remain composed and collected in times of stress. Clarity in crisis is critical.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership in a role that works closely with Operators, with an aptitude to learn from their team members as well as participate in their training and development
  • Good math and statistical skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience is desired.
  • Background in fluid processing or packaging is preferred.
  • Ability to work different shifts including off shifts.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred and a minimum of three years' experience are required in a manufacturing environment.

working conditions and physical requirements:

  • 12 hours sitting/standing/walking
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Some Reaching / bending may be required as part of the job. Perform work as needed.

food safety requirements:

  • Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
