Job Description

Target Steel seeks experienced Crane Operators for all shifts. A proper candidate will have at least 1 year experience with overhead crane operation and reliable transportation. The below listed skills are required:

Skills and Abilities:

1. Unload incoming steel coils from carriers with overhead crane.

2. Inspects incoming material unloaded with overhead crane.

3. Properly documents on receiver: weight, width, location, and any defects or damage on incoming material.

4. Load press line.

5. Unload rail cars.

6. Attend to warehouse maintenance.

7. Transfer coils from warehouse to main building.

8. Assure the locations are written on tags, and place tags in bags affixed to material.

9. Assist in locating material.

10. Provide support in the absence of other crane operators.

11. Perform Die changes.

12. Assist press operator with job set-ups.

13. Load coils into press line.

14. Complete projects as assigned.

15. Has the authority to stop production if necessary to correct quality or safety problems.

Experience and Education:

1. High School Diploma or GED.

2. Previous crane operating experience with at least 1 years empierce

Training:

1. Basic Orientation

2. Occupational Noise Exposure

3. Powered Industrial Truck Training

4. Overhead Crane/Hoist and Sling Training

5. QS Document Training

Pre-Employment Drug Screen is required.

Steel toed boots and work clothes are also required.
