Dog Resort Shift Lead

Shift Leads are responsible for the direct oversite of the coaches in the off-leash playgroups and supporting pet care staff. The Shift Lead will oversee the flow of the shift, ensure that daily tasks are completed, ensure that playgroups are safe and that care instructions are followed for the canine guests. The Shift Lead is responsible for daily feedback to clients, the accuracy of pet care during the shift, and documenting behavior and incidents. This is a physically demanding, high-volume, and quick-paced environment. Reliability, a strong attendance record, and experience in the industry are required to be considered for this position. Must Be proficient in:

Basic Dog Body Language and Play behaviors

Safe pet handling

Microsoft Products

Email and phone communication

Professional verbal and written communication

Qualifications:

Passion for pet care and customer service

1+ years of professional pet care experience

1+ years of supervisor experience

Strong attention to detail

Must be able to handle multiple tasks and remain flexible with assigned duties

Must be able to work well in a team environment

Demonstrates excellent time and task management for self and others.

Must be comfortable driving productivity and pace of staff during assigned shifts.

Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation with team and clients

Must be consistently positive, punctual, and professional

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Move throughout the resort for extended periods of time (up to 6-8 hours per day).

• Being able to lift and move 40 lbs.

• Understand and respond to team members and guests’ requests in a loud environment

• Bend, stoop, and reach in order to run and load dogs/cats, serve customers, and clean the resort
