Construction Estimator

What You’ll Do:
As an Estimating Engineer, you will:
- Research and estimate costs, production factors, and required resources for new designs, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to compile initial estimates for equipment, tooling, and processes.
- Analyze blueprints, sketches, and specifications to calculate production costs using historical data and pricing schedules.
- Provide budgetary and costing advice to project stakeholders.
- Create detailed reports and formal quotations for management and clients.
- Identify potential patent issues and support economic analysis.
- Track actual project costs and assist in planning phases.
- Lead small-scale projects with limited scope and duration.
What You Bring:
- One of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field + 2 years of experience
- Associate’s degree + 4 years of experience
- High school diploma or equivalent + 6 years of experience
- Strong arithmetic and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables for data analysis)
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and cost optimization
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP
