Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new products, components, and assemblies from concept to production.
• Create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, cost-effectiveness, and performance (DFM/DFA).
• Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and finishes based on application requirements.
• Support the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs and design modifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure successful product launch and continuous improvement.
• Analyze and resolve design-related issues and non-conformances identified during production or field use.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, welding, additive manufacturing) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Knowledge of material properties and selection for various manufacturing applications.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation tools for design validation.
• Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings, GD&T, and relevant industry standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in FEA and simulation software for complex stress, thermal, or fluid dynamics analysis.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.
• Expertise in advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) application and analysis.
• Experience with scripting or API development for CAD automation and design optimization.
