Electrical Engineer | Grand Rapids, MI

Salary Range: $78,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on production machinery and control systems to minimize downtime.
• Implement and manage electrical projects, including new installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, codes, and company policies.
• Optimize electrical processes and controls to improve efficiency, reliability, and product quality.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production teams on electrical systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical documentation, schematics, and standard operating procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Strong understanding of industrial power distribution, motor control, and safety circuits.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and machinery.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Experience integrating and troubleshooting industrial robotics or machine vision systems.
• Proficiency with EPLAN Electric P8 or similar specialized electrical CAD software.
