CDL-A Diesel Truck Mechanic
Pay: $25,000 – $100,000 / year (Hourly + OT after 40 hours)
Location: Regional Shop (Between Grand Rapids & Kalamazoo)
Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Available
The Opportunity
Join a stable, local trucking company operating a fleet of 12 trucks and a high-volume tractor/trailer repair facility. We handle everything from routine maintenance to complex engine overhauls on models ranging from 1999 to 2024 .
What You’ll Do
Full-Service Repair: Diagnose and repair all makes and models of heavy-duty trucks and engines.
Specialized Maintenance: Perform advanced repairs on DEF systems and emissions components.
Fabrication: Utilize welding skills for trailer and chassis repairs.
Fleet Support: Ensure our 12-truck fleet remains DOT-compliant and road-ready.
Mandatory Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience.
Licensing: Must hold a valid Class A CDL .
Certifications: Must carry and provide all Mechanic and Welding Certificates .
Tooling: Must provide your own set of professional tools.
Skills: Proficient in English with a strong, self-sufficient work ethic.
Transport: Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the shop.
Schedule & Benefits
Hours: Consistent 40-hour weeks with opportunities for weekend and after-hours work.
Review: Performance and compensation review after 90 days .
