Electrical Engineer | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical failures and malfunctions on production machinery.
• Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Develop and maintain accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new equipment installations, upgrades, and process optimization.
• Ensure all electrical installations and modifications comply with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA).

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with industrial control systems, PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens), and HMIs in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in production machinery and automation.
• Experience with power distribution, motor control centers, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E) and compliance in an industrial setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Familiarity with industrial robotics and automation systems.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with industrial vision systems for quality control and inspection.
