Medical Assistant Orthopedics, Pain Management, Podiatry

Do you enjoy helping people, working in a fast-paced environment, and making a difference? If so, Oakland Orthopedics and Sports Medicine/Clarkston Pain and Rehab is looking for you to join the team as a scribe/medical assistant!

As a scribe/MA, your job responsibilities would include, but aren't limited to:

• Medical scribing during procedures and clinic
• Measuring and recording vital signs and medical histories
• Preparing patients for examination/procedures
• Drawing blood
• Collect laboratory specimens and prepare them for testing
• Wound care
• Administering medications as directed by the physician
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
• Facilitate medication, imaging, and procedure prior authorizations

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience working as a medical assistant/scribe (required)
• Certified Medical Assistant CMA (preferred)
• BLS CPR certification (preferred)
• Athena EMR experience is a plus!
• Experience in pain management, orthopedics, and/or podiatry (preferred)
