Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Release Engineer specializing in Telematics. This role involves systems and design release engineering, focusing on requirement decomposition, test case creation, and requirement sign-off testing. You will be responsible for planning software releases, performing design verification, and conducting network interface design reviews for vehicle-specific telematics systems.
Responsibilities

Decompose requirements and cascade them effectively.

Create and execute test cases for requirement sign-off testing.

Perform vehicle-specific design verification plans and reports.

Plan and manage software releases to vehicle programs using WERS and IVS systems.

Conduct Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Define vehicle-specific configuration specifications for the Telematics Control Unit (TCU).

Review and manage the CAN message database (CMDB) for vehicle-specific network interfaces.

Utilize the Special Characteristics Communication and Agreement Form at both supplier and assembly lines.
Essential Skills

Strong uderstanding in Systems and Design and Release Engineering.

Experience with requirement decomposition and test case creation.

Ability to perform comprehensive design verification plans.

Proficiency in software release planning using WERS and IVS systems.

Skilled in Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Experience in defining configuration specifications for telematics systems.

Familiarity with CAN message databases and network interface design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

Prior experience in telematics is preferred.
Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
