Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute CMM inspection programs based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
• Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies to ensure accurate and repeatable data collection.
• Validate CMM programs through first-article inspections, correlation studies, and statistical process control.
• Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve part quality.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration checks, and basic troubleshooting of CMM equipment.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for CMM programs, setup sheets, and inspection results.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Strong understanding of metrology fundamentals and measurement techniques.
• Proven experience in CMM setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• GD&T Certification (ASME Y14.5)
• Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) for model manipulation
• Understanding of measurement uncertainty principles and MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
