Open role: Controls Engineer II

What You’ll Do

• Design control systems: schematics, panel layouts, and I/O wiring diagrams.
• Engineer hydraulic/pneumatic circuits to enable machine functionality.
• Program and test PLC and HMI applications (Allen‑Bradley Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal).
• Specify and integrate sensors, VFDs, servos, vision, and safety components.
• Lead commissioning, FAT/SAT, and on-site debug (~25% travel).
• Own schedules and budgets for small/midsize projects.
• Create user-friendly operator and maintenance manuals.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable experience
• 5–7 years in industrial automation/controls
• Rockwell or Siemens development expertise
• Safety PLC programming; ISO 13849 understanding
• Industrial networks: EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Link‑IO
• Standards knowledge: NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79
• Analytical problem solver; strong troubleshooting and applied math
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable around machinery, electrical systems, and moderate noise; able to travel ~25%

Preferred Experience

• Robotics integration (FANUC, ABB, KUKA)
• Mitsubishi GX Works
• Industry 4.0/data connectivity concepts
